Over three months, Shaima gathered everyday domestic objects, documented daily impressions through photography, and wrote personal reflections. She then incorporated collaged text that resonated with her thoughts on time, embedding them into the piece. The work invites viewers to reconsider what is often perceived as fixed, using poetic attention to gently challenge notions of permanence through a tender, reflective practice.
This work was developed during the Intermix Artist Residency in Riyadh.
